The conclusions of Paul Codani’s V2G presentation are that the most important transport system operators (TSO’s) rules for Grid integration vehicles (GIV’s) have been identified. Also modeling of a participating EV fleet was completed and a comparison of tow combinations of rules on the expected revenues of a GIV fleet was executed. Results of these studies are that under current French rules revenues for EV’s integrated in a smart grid are zero. Under ideal rules, revenues would range from 193 to 593 euro’s per EV, depending on the EVSE penetration level.
The ENTSO-E network codes are paving the way for enabling these new technologies. National and local TSO’s should made all efforts to improve their existing rules and policies.
